Duffy Theatre

It was way too quiet all of a sudden Duffy got sucked into the video game. All of a sudden a computer voice said “Choose your skin” then there was a purple pirate skin a Heihei skin and my favourite skin Goku without a shirt on (It was just a shirt with boxes on the abs and mussels)(Go figure) Then Duffy started to build a spiral staircase then the computer voice said “25 minutes remaining I’m counting” Then in the human world Sam noticed that Duffy was gone so she assumed he went to the toilet until…Sam put her headset then turned to her TV and saw Duffy in Magic Bricks.

Moment In Time Cross Country

Cross country        I was up on the hill standing on some wooden boards looking at Lake Ngatu while the girls were preparing for their race. I hear Sir shout Go! The hooter goes off and Sir calls for all Year 10 Boys. My friends and I run to the starting line to figure out that we have to wait for 15-20 minutes. I was going to go to the toilet but before the race but didn't want to miss it so I waited. Finally, Sir comes back to make us do stretches but we try to lie saying “we've already done them” but he doesn't hear us. Sir shouts out READY, GO!!! I galloped through the gate getting a lucky start nearly hitting Tawa in the face. It's our first hill and I'm already tired. I'm coming in 10 the place between this person from oruaiti was now neck and neck.                                     THE LAST STRETCH this oruaiti kid and I are still neck and neck and were on the last stretch. Were going up the hill towards the finished line so I boost it up passing the oruaiti kid and someone from pompallier coaming in 8th place so I drop to the ground in relief that I came 8th. Two minutes have passed and I give my card to Mrs Winderbord and ask Mrs Davan “are we aloud a hot chocolate?” and she says “Yes” so I get a Hot chocolate with two marshmallows and a chocolate fish. So I eat my food and drink my Milo then we leave.

Gillian Lee Mad Mountaineer

Mad Mountaineer

An Australian mountaineer called Gillian Lee was trying to climb to the summit of Mount Everest in May 2019,without an oxygen tank.To avoid the traffic jam on the Nepal side he took the Tibet route on the North side.

As Gil was approaching 7600 m he was constantly coughing and his lips were blue. But he refused to turn back.Because of the lack of oxygen he passed out. The Sherpa dragged him down to his tent to try to warm him up by putting him in his sleeping bag with hot water bottles. They also gave him oxygen.  If he was up there for another 10 to 15 minutes he would have been done for. So they decided to strap him to a sleeping mat to make a makeshift sled .

6000 up the maunga the Sherpas stumbled into a Chinese rope fixing team. The Chinese team helped Gil get down the mountain until there was no more snow. They called a yak man and strapped him to the animal,a 22 kilometer ride that took 6 hours. Gil recalls that it was the most uncomfortable ride he has ever taken in his whole life time. Finally they arrived at base camp. The sherpas put him on a helicopter for a 20 minute ride to Kathmandu Hospital.

When he arrived at the hospital Gils Mum was waiting for her selfish son. She was furious at him! I wonder if he is going to attempt to climb Mount Everest without an oxygen tank again?

Speech

                              Introduction
Kia Ora and welcome to the world of movies.I hope you’ll agree with my opinion after listening to my speech.Would you rather watch movies at the theatre or movies at home?

    What is my opinion
My opinion is to watch movies at home rather than the theatre and I’ll tell you why.

                         Food
you are not allowed to bring outside food inside the movie theatre. Why? So the Employs can make a profit from selling Chips,Fizzy drinks,Lollies, etc

               Rubbish cleaners
Rubbish cleaners only have a window of time to clean literally. You can help the cleaners by putting the rubbish in the right bins.

                    Cost too much
Every time you go to the movies.you have to pay money (here are the prices) for a kid it cost like $8 and for an adult $11 for a family pack it’s like $25 [3 kids 2 adults or 3 adults 2 kids and 1 large popcorn or 2 medium popcorn #NOT WORTH IT]

               Pausing the movie
It’s a good thing the employs at the theatre don’t pause and resume the movie for people or the movie would be going on and off like a foghorn.

                           Too loud
Some people sit right next to the speakers to feel the whole experience but it could damage your eardrums.People are constantly talking and opening fizzy drinks and chip packets which could spoil the experience
                                Environment
When you watch films at home, you can choose to watch movies on the computer or television etc, while the environment is not very good, and the screens are smaller than cinema and the sound effect is worse. But one does not obey rules and you can lie on the couch watching movies, and eat food whenever you want.

                                Conclusion
Turns  out the movie theatre is not so bad after all I'll rate the movie theatre 6/10 and movie at home  8/10

                             End
I hope you enjoyed my speech.and hope you’ll love  the next movie you watch. thank you and good day

I dived down for the first time and saw heaps of fat kina and than we turned around and headed back to shore I was soooo tired and felt like my feet were numb. and then I still saw the huge hole Lyrik dug In the sand.

Ahoy Waitangi

Moment in time:Rhib ride
Me and Lyrik just finished devouring our scrumptious lunch. A man in a monkey suit comes up to us and asks if we want to go on the rhib boat, Me and Lyrik looks at each other, “Of course we’ll go,” we said as we ran to the life jackets. Lyrik got his on in no time while I was struggling to get mine on. “I’ve got it on. I’m ready!” We shot outside but we almost forgot something, the helmets! We ran back inside with no hesitation to get our helmets on. “Uhhhhh how do we get this on?” I asked the man in the monkey suit. He came to me and unplugged something on my helmet and all of a sudden it started deflating. I saw what it was. He told me to put it in my mouth and blow, so I did. Now we're ready to go. We got in the rhib. We get lowered down into the calm sea. VRRRR were off I see the dolphins smooth silky skin. A dolphins nearly jumps in our rhib! People are squirting me with the fire hose. I felt like I had the whole ocean in my shoes. I nearly passed out because I felt a little queasy but I hit my head on the bar witch stopped me from falling of the boat. I barely have a grip. We got pulled up by the chain again. Phew what a relief I'm off that thing.
